Every day since April 1st, I’ve been challenging my Instagram followers with daily tasks to help build their brands, awareness, and overall success in the industry. This will help you whether you are signed to a label, an independent artist, or are working behind the scenes. Are you in?! Head to my Instagram account @rapcoalition and follow me to get daily career and life improvement tasks in your feed! Here’s a list of the daily challenges issued so far:
Measure your social media stats at Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Evaluate which posts have performed the best over the past week/month/year.
Choose a book or audio book that can benefit your career, business, or life. Start reading as much as you can every day. Once you’re done, share what you’ve learned with 3 people.
Set up a Google Calendar and start scheduling your days.
Set up a Google Voice Number, and forward it to your cellphone. Use it for booking shows or as a business phone.
Set up a merchandise website (Shopify is offering a 90-day free trial).
Pick 3 goals and write them down. Read them out loud every day for the next 30 days.
Pick 5 rap blogs, and find out the names of people who write articles about artists with music similar to yours. Find them on social media, and start building a relationship with them.
