This past saturday Freezy Street opended its doors making New Orleans the home to Louisiana’s first brick-and-motar shop serving Thai-inspired, hand-rolled ice cream.

Freezy Street specializes in the hand-rolled treat which uses cold pans that get to -20 degrees, to turn homemade liquid cream into ice cream in under two minutes. Their menu will include 10 signature flavors created by owners Frances LaMagna and Adam Enterkin, which can be customized, including vegan and gluten-free options.

Freezy Street is located at 2633 St. Claude Avenue. The ice cream shop opens Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Also besides the ice cream other menu items include sno-balls, house brewed ice tea and coffee.
