Sunday evening’s 57th Grammy Awards were filled with an unsurprising amount of entertainment, from the winner’s themselves to Kanye’s predictable snub. As a regular fixture of award shows, Beyoncé left nobody disappointed with an impressive vocal performance. This time she decided to forego a dance performance and instead let her singing be the sole focus, belting out the gospel track, “Take My Hand, Precious Lord,” as a graceful tribute to Ferguson. She has since released a behind-the-scenes video which explores the themes behind the performance. It shines a spotlight on the 12 suited men who supported her performance, both vocally and emotionally, and goes into detail about some of their personal experiences of racial profiling.
