Fast Company Details How Star Wars Made $27 Billion

Star Wars has generated $27 billion DOLLARS in revenue since the release of A New Hope in 1977. Tech magazine Fast Company has broken down how much each branch of the juggernaut franchise contributed to that financial success. Surprisingly, about half of the cash comes from toy sales, while the actual box-office-take accounts for less than a sixth of total revenue. Regardless of where the money comes from, George Lucas will CONTINUE to cash those checks.
