High-Hat Cafe located on 4500 Freret Street New Orleans, LA 70115 (504) 754-1336 Open Daily 11-9 Fridays & Saturdays till’ 10

The High Hat Cafe is a casual neighborhood spot serving food from the Mississippi Delta and Louisiana..Catfish is the star of the menu with strong support from Smoked Roasted Chicken, Delta Tamales..BBQ Shrimp, Slow Roasted Pork, and Fresh Gulf Fish…They  pride themselves on only serving U.S. farm raised catfish and the shrimp and gulf fish come from local waters…

I recently visited High Hat cafe and enjoyed a quiet lunch one afternoon.. I began with the Louisiana Boudin order which was great that came with tiny slices of french bread..then for my main course I had to try their signature Catfish meal..The portion was a decent size and it came with fries, coleslaw and three hush puppies..The food wasn’t bad and the service was great..

If You ever on Freret give them a try..
