On December 19th 2016 Larry Morrow, an entertainment socialite, and celebrity event curator will team up with Pelican’s SG Tyreke Evans, and Former Saints CB, New Orleans Native, Keenan Lewis to make the Holiday season special for three less fortunate families in the Greater New Orleans Area. “Merry Morrow Christmas” is an annual Christmas initiative where Larry Morrow’s “Hope for 2Morrow” charity will partner with Local Celebs/Athletes for a surprise Christmas delivery and appearance for a few families that have fallen on hard times. The celebrity collective will dig deep to provide gifts and necessities for three family profiles that have been selected through programming at the United Way of South East Louisiana.
After careful vetting and reviewing the stories of the families, the celebrity trio will purchase items on the families wish list, and surprise them with an appearance from a the hometown hero’s, and of course gifts that may have not been provided during this year’s Christmas. “The project is a bout lifting spirits, and paying it forward. I reached out to two of my really good friends, in Keenan, and Tyreke and in the same competitive spirit they display in their respective sports, challenged them to use our blessings to help make a positive impact on others”, Says Larry Morrow. Former Saints CB Keenan Lewis expressed what sparked his interest in the project by saying “When Larry called me, I didn’t even think twice about getting involved, this is the sort of thing that I wish could’ve happed for me and my family growing up, and now that I am in the position to help I’m going to do what I can”.
