New Orleans native DOON, recently released new album, “LONG LIVE ME” to a great reception from fans and peers of the industry. The new ‘Long Live Me’ 11- track album is the follow up to DOON’s debut album, The Wax Museum (2016). Long Live Me is currently available for you’re listening pleasure on Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.
DOON created Long Live Me with platinum producer BL$$D (Young Thug x Future “Relationships” & Ayo x Teo “Rolex”). New Orleans radio station Power 102.9 got behind DOON’s first two singles; “Shot Callerz” the fast life role call, & “Don’t Hurt Nothin”, the CROWD+CTRL (Rae Sremmurd “Shake It Fast”) produced club anthem before they were even made available to the public.
Power 102.9’s DJ Jay Skillz is featured scratching over the adrenaline pumping Chase The Money-assisted “One + a Million”.
The title track, “Long Live Me (Have Mercy)” features prayer from DOON’s mother and her friend, while DOON channels his mentor Juvenile when he starts his verse with “hard life we living, day by day drama” setting the tone telling a gritty tale about being successful in New Orleans and deflecting the inevitable hate that comes with it. “One Night” finds DOON’s only feature, R&B songstress Larissa Jae singing about a chance encounter with the rap star while he spits effortless bars detailing the events of the evening.
DOON career has been steadily growing after sharing the stage with rap pioneer LL Cool J at New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival earlier in 2018. He has also previously recorded with Frank Ocean, Future, and Blaq-N-Mild (producer of Drake’s “In My Feelings”). To learn more about Doon check out info below..
