This once clothing-optional Bywater institution is a great place to cool off and is one of the best places for a delicious and entertaining Sunday brunch (people-watching included). Entry rates are $15 all seven days of the week.

Ace Hotel

This sleek spot on Carondelet Street has a rooftop pool that’s open to the public. Swimmers (or loungers) who aren’t guests of the hotel pay a $25 pool access fee during peak hours on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Poolside lunch, dinner, and drinks are available along with free Wifi.
