Can you tell us how excited you are to be welcoming you’re 6th annual Hair Glam Squad-Salon Experience essence edition?
We are so excited for yet another year of fun. This year we have revamped our event’s setup to be more appealing. We have added many assets to step up our event a notch
Tell us more about your new Silk Me product line.
Silk Me Hair Care for Kids is the latest healthy hair care initiative for the youth. Launched Fall of 2017, Silk Me Hair Care for Kids is prepared to provide manageability, soft hair, and moisture to the kinkiest, coiliest, and curliest of natural hair! Designed with #frobabies and #curlycuties in mind, Silk Me Kids is the go to for all of your Healthy, Natural, and Nurturing Hair Care needs!
MeMe: After careful observation and countless conversations with parents and guardians about moisture, hair repair, untangling Growth, softness, etc, SILK ME KIDS is the answer to all those concerns. It has altered the minds of many to understand that there is a line that cares for their kids hair just as much as they do. While SILK ME KIDS cater to those kids with natural hair textures (that are chemical free) , it also helps repair and bring back to life kids hair that has suffered from chemical processing and thermo-damage.
What we be some things different this year from years previous?
MeMe:We have added many components to this event. We have:
-Man Cave: men’s grooming lounge
-A Beauty Suite: hair and makeup setup
-Shopping Suite: hosting all vendors selling merchandise
-Kids Expo: shining light on kids with Business and those businesses centered around kids.
What stylist and hair boutiques can we look forward to being apart of the experience this year?
MeMe:We have over 40 vendors available. Business selling accessories, beauty products, sweets and more who are ready to serve
What’s your current perception of the Hair Industry in New Orleans?
MeMe: We have a lot of hidden talent that doesn’t get much publicity. I feel that more outlets should cover small businesses of beauty entrepreneurs, just like yourself!
