We believe that taking pride in our children, parks, and neighborhood is invaluable. As a child, having pride in our park and uniforms helped us to perform better on and off the field/court. NOLA GROWN, with the help of Ascension Branding and Marketing, NORDC, The City of New Orleans and The Milneburg community would like to restore Milne Park to its original Pre-Katrina splendor; while adding a bit of flare. We believe with the current renovations to the Milne Boys home and gym that this is the perfect time to restore the park.

With your help we would like to make the following improvements. The concession stand and equipment buildings will be updated with a new coat of paint. The covering of the dugouts on both sides of the park will be rebuilt and painted. New benches will be constructed and painted to match the Milne Raider’s colors. The enclosures of the dugouts are missing sections and is in terrible condition and will be replaced. We plan to add custom artwork to the concession stands, dugouts, and add new red trash cans with the Milne Raiders Mascot throughout the park.

The projected time for finalization of the renovations is 3-4 weeks. We will invite the neighborhood for a Grand Re-Opening Community Day upon completion. On the Grand Re-Opening day local NFL and NBA players such as Joe Morgan, Khiry Robinson and Russ Smith will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony. There will be youth athletic training events to promote exercise health and wellness.
