The rise of Y-3 through out 2014 has been rather impressive to watch. A brand founded by adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, it fell into irrelevancy in the last decade and suddenly came back with the introduction of the Y-3 Qasa in 2013. Since then it almost feels like the brand is unstoppable. Such a hit is hard to follow up on, but it seems like Y-3 has no trouble in keeping itself interesting. The new Spring/Summer 2015 range looks very promising and the recently released Y-3 Retro Boost looks to be an instant hit. Here we preview the soon to release Y-3 Boost QR. The futuristic runner combines a technical neoprene upper with the brand’s pioneering Boost foam in the forefoot. It comes in black/white with red accents. You can pre-order the Y-3 Boost QR now directly from the brand’s online store.
