Recently I went out with an appetite for Sushi and decided to try Chiba located on the historic Oak Street of Uptown New Orleans. I can tell you immediately walking in to the place I loved the atmosphere and the hostess was extremely friendly and worked fast to find us seating. We were even lucky enough to have the owner Mr. Keith Dusko give us a description of his entire menu from the appetizers to entrees and on to his specialty rolls and specials for the night.

I began my meal with order of Tempura Ribs (which I was unsure if I would like and it was truly good) and a order of Asian BBQ Almond Chicken appetizer, that was truly delicious and large enough to serve 2-3 people with ease.

After that it was time for some sushi and we decided on the Hot Mama Roll, one my favorites the Shrimp Tempura Roll and that night’s special was a Lobster Tail Roll that came with this butter garlic dip sauce that just made me fall in love with this dish.

I really enjoyed my evening and I recommend this place to everyone for lunch or dinner. I think we all fall victim to settling for cheap sushi or our usual spot, I tell you Chiba is worth the trip to try something new!
