VSCO has launched their latest update for iOS 8 and Android with VSCO Cam 4.0. The company’s most transformative release to date, the update includes: a new iPad app; Sync, which allows you to shoot, edit, and share across iPhone, iPad, and Android devices; and access to VSCO’s new Journal publishing platform, which allows for original long-form content. They’ve also added a new web uploader tool for importing photos to your VSCO Cam Library to simplify editing and sharing to your Grid.

A variety of other updates create a more seamless shooting and editing process, such as being able to view a side-by-side comparison of presets on your image with the iPad-exclusive Preview Gallery. The camera itself gets some improvements too, including a new manual focus, shutter speed, white balance, and exposure compensation. In the future, Vimeo, YouTube, and SoundCloud will also be compatible.
