The Phoenix Mercury selected Baylor’s Brittney Griner with the top overall pick in the 2013 WNBA draft. Griner, a 6-foot-8 center, finished her four-year career with the Bears with a record 18 dunks.
Delaware’s Elena Delle Donne went second in the draft to the Chicago Sky. The 6-5 guard became the 5th all-time scorer in women’s Division I history.
And Notre Dame star point guard Skylar Diggins went third overall to the Tulsa Shock. Diggins left the Irish as the school’s all-time leader in both wins and points.
