Situated on the top two floors of an industrial building in Munich’s Glockenbach neighborhood just by the Isar River, the brand new Flushing Meadows Hotel & Bar is designed for guests who appreciate attention to detail, design and personalized service. The third floor features 11 individual loft studios with exceptionally high ceilings, each created in collaboration with selected personalities and friends from various creative realms, including music, cinema, design, sports and art. Included among these contributors are actress Birgit Minichmayr, musician Michi Beck, gastronomist Charles Schumann, surfer Quirin Rohleder, artist Albert Oehlen, “Folk” founder Cathal McAteer, designer Norbert Wangen, DJ Helmut Geier, composer Marc Streitenfeld, handyman Konrad Dengler, and Christophe de la Fontaine & Aylin Langreuter of Dante Goods & Bads.
The top floor, meanwhile, is home to five variously-sized penthouse studios, three with private terraces, as well as the Flushing Meadows Bar. Out in the distance, guests will enjoy a view of the German city while further out a view of the Alps is offered.
