Both Bloomberg and The Wall Street Journal are reporting that a forthcoming September 9 event by Apple will serve as the stage to unveil their next generation iPhone. Anticipation for bigger-screen iPhones – rumored to be 4.7-inches and 5.5 inches – has analysts predicting that Apple will sell a record number of handsets after selling 35.2 million units last year. While speculation regarding larger screens dates back to April, initial hiccups for the brand were reported by Reuters and centered on Apple’s “in-cell touch panel technology” and designers having trouble shaving off a few millimeters by combining them. Stay tuned for an official announcement.
