Fresh from opening his “Man’s Best Friend” exhibition at Los Angeles’ Honor Fraser Gallery, KAWS has unveiled a new supersize sculpture installation in Hong Kong. Titled “Clean Slate,” the seven-meter tall piece features a Companion character carrying smaller child-like Companions. Having just become a father for the first time, the artwork seems like a particularly personal one for the artist. Situated on the mall in Hong Kong’s Harbour City, “Clean Slate” sits in the same spot that his work “Passing Through” stood in 2010, and will be on display until October 19.
