Snapchat rolls out their latest feature in partnership with some of the world’s leading media agencies. Billed as “a new way to explore Stories from different editorial teams,” Discover allows Snapchat users to consume news deemed important by these agencies in a familiar, social media-friendly format. Each “edition” features full screen photos and videos with a clean long-form layout and advertising blended in – a smart move into monetizing the platform, which was famously ridiculed for rejecting Facebook’s $3 billion offer and is now generally valued between $10 and $20 billion.
