Legacy Restaurant located in Metairie,LA is nice lunch/dinner spot I recently had the chance of checking out. I was in the area doing some shopping with my mother and we noticed the place, realized we never seen it before and decided to stop in for lunch. Once we walked in we were 1 surprised at the extravagant ambiance (Because the place does sit in a parking lot, where most people are going to either near by Big Lots or Office Depot) and 2 shock at the immediate polite service we received at the door. I would describe just walking in you feel like they are happy to have you as a guest. Our hostess quickly informed us that the place had only been in business for two months, which explains why I never noticed it on Veterans Blvd near west end before.

I kept it simple for lunch and oder a Garden District (ham/turkey) club sandwich with straight fries. My Mother order a salmon crab dip served with french bread. My mother loved her meal. and I did enjoy my sandwich and fries, especially the fries!

Also I must warn you the menu is on the expensive side with burgers starting at $14 and most entrees starting at $23 and up. The cocktails we’re not bad but strong, I’ll let you be the judge of that when you visit.Overall I would say the place is worth checking out at least for the experience. They will be a good place to stop at after shopping in Lakeside Mall on a Saturday, just a suggestion.

(I was told my waiter that they are going to add a lot more dishes to the menu as the customer base picks up so who knows you may be blown away by the menu.)
