Nike and Teague Create Concept for the Ultimate Basketball Team Jet

Everyone hates long-haul flying but, for most people, the only thing riding on it is a few hours’ discomfort or a bad night’s sleep. For a professional basketball team, however, there are season-critical games and millions of dollars at stake, and for a top-tier franchise flying from one end of America to the other on a regular basis, that’s a serious issue. That’s why Nike and design firm Teague have produced a concept for the ultimate private team jet, seen here across a series of computer-generated mock-ups. Complete with full rest facilities, treatment area, exercise space and a host of other amenities, it looks like something straight out of Mass Effect. Then again, given the standard of some players these days, you have to wonder if they are really human after all. No word on whether this flight of fancy will ever get built, but it doesn’t hurt to dream…
