“NOLA Gumbo” Collection 2014 Officially Unveiled By NIKE Basketball For NBA All-Star Weekend

With the 2014 NBA All-Star festivities set to kick off next month, Nike Basketball has officially unveiled their collection of footwear surrounding the coming game. As they typically have done for the past few years, the Swoosh keys on its three signature athletes who of were all selected to the game as starters – LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kobe Bryant. Bryant, however, won’t play in the game, but his new signature silhouette with Nike will be apart of the new collection alongside the Nike KD VI and LeBron XI.


Inspired by New Orleans, Louisiana, the town hosting the All-Star game, the Nike basketball collection falls in the imaginative “Nola Gumbo League” which highlights the Nike LeBron 11 “Gator King,” Kobe 9 Elite Maestro and the Nike KD VI “Illusion.” Stories and heritage-based coloring from the Big Easy  craft the sneakers in an aesthetically flair offering only found in New Orleans. The 2014 NOLA Gumbo League collection hits select retailers and Nike.com on February 14th.
