British consumer electronics firm Intelligent Energy has created the world’s first hydrogen-powered battery. Rumored to be working directly with Apple, the company claims its latest innovation will charge your iPhone for a full week, creating electricity by combining hydrogen and oxygen. The technology will manifest through a disposable cartridge that would fit into an outlet on the smartphone, containing enough juice for a week of normal use without recharging. On a consumer level, the hydrogen battery may still be a few years away from hitting shelves, while price points also remain up in the air so far.
