Based in Baton Rouge, Rukus Board Shop is the latest shop to offer their take on the iconic Nike SB Dunk. Given the previous successes of Concepts crustacean themed dunks (both red and blue lobsters), Rukus’s choice of a crawfish themed shoe was certainly an ambitious one. Fear not though, as from the looks of these images, they have absolutely nailed the execution and created one of the better looking SB Dunks in recent memory. Taking inspiration from the traditionally southern crawfish dinner, they sport a red crawfish-esque spotted upper, corn yellow lining and heel, and a midsection that has a newspaper print à la the “tablecloth” that crawfish are often eaten on. Completing the package, the shoes come in a box covered in all the different parts of a crawfish dinner, as well as a matching shirt and a pair of Stance socks. The full set will only be available at Rukus, releasing this Saturday, August 16th at 10AM, while the sneakers alone will release on Nikestore later this month. Check out detailed images below and stay tuned for the Nikestore release info.
