Italian fashion house Fendi is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its legendary Baguette handbag with a book called Fendi Baguette $125..
Published by Rizzoli, the new book features 250 pages dedicated to the small, rectangular handbag that Silvia Venturini Fendi conceived back in 1997.
It is being billed as the catalogue raisonne for the Baguette, a comprehensive and exhaustive reference for all things Baguette.
It features vivid photographs of 250 versions of the Baguette in every imaginable color, fabrication, embellishment and size, plus those especially created by artists like Damien Hirst, Jeff Koons and Richard Prince.
The book has essays by Sarah Jessica Parker, the actress who helped make the Baguette a world-wide phenomenon, and fashion journalist Dana Thomas.
