Word Above the Street is a not for profit organization that wishes to bring awareness to water conservation and in spring of 2013, Word Above the Street will use the highly visible and historic water tanks in NYC for their cause.

The Water Tank Project will take 3000 rooftop water tanks and use them as canvases for artists like Ed Ruscha, Marilyn Minter, rapper Jay-Z and others who share a concern about world water awareness.  The project will run for 12 weeks with eyes set on decking out other city’s water tanks for the cause.  Visit Word Above the Street for more information on the project.
