Victorinox Swiss Army has just released the Alpnach watch, named after the famous Alpine helicopter base used by the Swiss Air Force. A black PVD-coated stainless steel case houses a self-winding Swiss mechanical movement with a triple-coated, anti-reflective sapphire crystal face, all water resistant to 10 atmospheres. A four-blade-rotor second hand inspired by the Cougar AS 532 helicopter, luminous hands and hour markers, and a rugged nylon strap with deployant clasp finish this military inspired watch. Available in a black or grey dial, the Alpnach watch retails for between $2,500 – $3,700 USD.
